I’m still working on my books, but I’ve got one thing in my mind that I would like to tell you about… While people post the extended version of their books, I sometimes think of publishing a shortened version of all my books. I’m thinking of deleting some scenes and shortening some of them in case they do not have anything that would help a storyline move on.

The reason why I’ve been thinking about it lately is the book statistics. It says people don’t always continue to read my books after they read first two chapters. It’s happening to “The Sins Of The Past” and “The Broken Hearts Story“. And it’s gonna happen to the following books from this series as first few chapters are not quite good. Yes, I’m actually very bad at beginning a book and eventually get boring chapters that may not make sense. I understand why people don’t want to give my books a chance and stop reading them. But you see… Events in my books happen slowly. I’m not rushing anything. I don’t think it would be great to let things happen too fast. It wouldn’t be great to solve characters’ problems quickly. That’s not interesting.

However, at the same time, I don’t want to get rid of all the unnecessary scenes and dialogues that would not help events happen faster. I try to show all the sides of my characters. Show that they all have a different character, different habits, different tastes, etc. By adding some scenes, I’m trying to reveal as much information about them as possible. They are not something like robots without emotions and feelings. They are humans. And I want to show it. I want to let you know what they think of one or another thing. What they think of characters’ actions. There are more than 100+ characters in my whole book series, and all of them are different. It’s not easy to create an image for every single one, but I love it.

But… I’m thinking of making an experiment and trying to shorten my first two books to see how many views, likes, and comments they would receive. I don’t know when I’d do this. And whether I actually want to do it. But I think I will do this. Just for curiousity. Just to find out if people stop reading my books because first chapters are freaking bad. Something like trash. Anyway… The full versions of my books will not be deleted and will be published even if I decide to publish shorten versions. Maybe, someday people would get interested in checking them. Who knows…
