In the books, he is described as "the gray-haired man, who has almost the same height as [Raquelle], with gray, pale gray eyes looks quite good for his old age but has many mimic lines and flabby skin". He is very active for his old age, never stays in the same place, always aims to go somewhere, goes to work, and is not even going to get fired at his wish. There is always order and clearness in his apartment because he always watches it and is never lazy to clean it.
Frederick is a kind, caring, and gentle man that may seem a little harsh and overprotective toward his granddaugther, Raquelle, even though he is just worried about her. He is anixious that she does not think of her personal life and is more obsessed with her career than a wish to get married, take care of her husband, and educate her children. Since her parents are dead, the girl became his only reason to live. Frederick seems a very smart man that can always give good pieces of advice. That's why people always listen to him and do what he says.
There are not those, who are loved by everyone. Even the kindest and most decent people are not absolutely loved. Even innocent angels that give people just kindness and positivity are not absolutely loved. It’s fine. It’s impossible to make everyone like you.
Love doesn’t always start with friendship and mutual feelings. Sometimes it might be born after you get hatred.
Real happiness is when you have a beloved person by your side, who would take care of you in bad and good times and always be next to you. Happiness is when you’re holding your own baby in your arms and watching him or her growing up.
Lonely people are always unhappy, no matter how hard they try to prove that’s not the truth.

You can’t be kind in our cruel world. There would surely be someone to wish to have you wrapped around a finger and destroy you for your kindness.
Any problem can be solved. You just sometimes need time to find a solution.
Life is like a lottery: not everyone would be lucky! The one not to get everything loses. The one to be lucky takes everything.
Heroes don’t always do something on their own. They often get help from one or another person. There are things that you would not do if you did not have someone’s help.
A life together consists not only of hugs and kisses. And not only a mutual love. It’s also the ability to give in at times, find compromises and try not to let your disagreements lead to a great problem that might be fatal to you.
Sadly, sometimes money makes a person worse. It's actually a very insidious thing. The more you have, the more you start to think it's not enough for you.
When we pray to God for someone's help and well-being, we always think of close and beloved people. If we ask God to help our close people for too long, our pleases will be heard. And those, who've suffered and wanted something for too long, will surely get the award they're gonna love.
Fighting is not a way to solve a problem. No matter how many slaps you give, and how much you wave your fists, your problem will still be unsolved.
We can argue and prove that we're right as much as we want, but it doesn't always end well.
Any life difficulties can help us make the invisible armor, with which we protect ourselves, tougher. The more trustworthy it is, the easier it is for the person to fight off the sticks and stones that get into them.
A lie is not the thing that can be done for the better. It’s like a stone that can easily break even the toughest wall.
The difference between a boy and a man is that the first one would not love to be responsible for anything, and the other always fixes his mistakes and takes care of his close people, friends, and family.
